20.6.92 EX- KAKUSHUN MARU [1988], BUILT 1976 BY HAKATA ZOSEN K.K., HAKATA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY EXIMPET ENTERPRISE PTE LTD. WHILE BERTHED AS PORT KELANG, SANK FOLLOWING AN EXPLOSION AND CONSEQUENT FIRE WHICH OCURRED WHEN CARGO WAS BEING DISCHARGED ASHORE ON 20.6.92. BURNED FOR OVER 18 HOURS BEFORE SINKING. 13 LIVES LOST. VESSEL WAS RAISED & SCRAPPED. (MSD)
