STRANDED DURING A SEVERE STORM, S OF PUNTA RUBIA, URUGUAY. SALVAGE ATTEMPTS UNSUCCESSFUL. VESSEL, WHICH HAS BEEN SOLD TO URUGUAYAN NAVY, CONSIDERED TO BE A TOTAL LOSS. ALL CREW WERE SAFELY RESCUED. (LLOYDS VOLS.230 & 234).
