UK Hydrographic Office wreck details for the ship Carbineer, located off the coast of England near the Owers Lightvessel in the English Channel at coordinates 50 35.864 N, 0 40.47 W. Historical surveys dating from 1914 to 2018 trace the discovery, repositioning, and detailed marine archaeological examination of the site. The severely degraded shipwreck lies on its port side with the bow facing 255 degrees in a general seabed depth of 32 meters, featuring a least multibeam depth of 27.40 meters. Structural descriptions from modern multibeam sonar surveys note dimensions of 71 meters in length, 14 meters in width, and a height of 4.6 meters, with an orientation of 075/255 degrees. Key visible remains include a single identifiable boiler in the center, obscured engines, a discernible propeller and rudder at the stern, two masts lying perpendicular on the southern seabed, and collapsed starboard hull plating with remnants of the hull base.
