BUILT IN 1921 BY HALIFAX SHIPYARDS. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY CANADIAN TRAMP SHIPPING CO. TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE OF 705NHP. PASSAGE PORT SUDAN FOR DURBAN AND WEST INDIES. WAS INTERCEPTED AND SUNK BY GUNFIRE BY GERMAN CRUISER 'ADMIRAL SCHEER'. CREW OF 34 ALL BECAME POWS. (DODS, LLOYDS WAR LOSSES WWII).
