Underwater Obstruction Survey Details Position 51 50697 N 1 32527 E Located off the coast of Southeast England in the North Sea historical hydrographic surveys identified a linear underwater feature initially examined as a long and narrow disused cable with no apparent height Further historical classifications and searches by Royal Navy survey vessels including HMS Enterprise and HMS Echo resulted in the feature being classified as a live cable before subsequent hydrographic surveys failed to locate the obstruction and disproved its existence leading to its removal from active charting records
