Simplified Wreck Survey
Underwater obstruction C14 is a recorded maritime site located in the Firth of Clyde near Greenock, Scotland at coordinates 55 59.875 N, 4 51.695 W. Historically identified as a swamped mooring buoy, the site was officially documented under survey records including H3081/73 and HH090/762/01. Initial reports classified the obstruction as foul. Subsequent examinations conducted in 1998 confirmed the mooring structure extends to the northwest and southwest from the primary position for a distance of 75 meters. The obstruction was officially recorded as lifted and removed from the seabed in March 2002 by the salvage vessel Salmo. This record is maintained by the UK Hydrographic Office to assist in maritime navigation and safety within the Firth of Clyde region.
