LAID DOWN AS WAR MOLE. BUILT IN 1919 BY A.MCMILLAN & SONS WITH TRIPLE-EXPANSION ENGINES OF 517NHP. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY LAMPORT & HOLT LINE. PASSAGE BUENOS AIRES & RIO JANEIRO FOR FREETOWN & UK. TORPEDOED & SUNK BY GERMAN SUBMARINE U125 SW OF FREETOWN. ALL 51 CREW WERE SAVED. (DODS & LLWW2)
