BUILT IN 1927 BY SWAN, HUNTER & WIGHAM RICHARDSON WITH OIL ENGINES OF 749NHP. PASSAGE GIBRALTAR FOR CURACAO. NOT IN CONVOY AT THE TIME. SHELLED & TORPEDOED BY GERMAN RAIDER STEIERMARK. OF 45 CREW, 36 PRISONERS ONLY 8 WERE SAVED ONE DYING LATER.
