Wreck site of the Bretonne located off the coast of Cornwall in the English Channel at coordinates 50 4.663 N, 5 1.227 W. The wreck of the Bretonne, likely a vessel of 1000-2000 tons, was surveyed in 2017 with a least multibeam echo sounder depth of 46 meters. Historical survey data indicates the wreck lies in two main parts due to a collapsed midship section. The stern section is intact, listing 15 degrees to starboard, while the bow section is inverted. The total length of the wreckage is approximately 76 to 85 meters. The site remains a documented underwater obstruction with a clear seabed clearance of 46 meters. Previous examinations have confirmed the structural integrity of the bow and stern with upperworks partially embedded in silt. This site is officially recorded for maritime navigation and hydrographic safety.
