Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck of the Boston Sea Ranger is located off the coast of Gwennap Head in Cornwall at coordinates 49 58.536 N, 5 40.059 W. Originally reported as sinking in 1977 at a depth of 213 feet of water, subsequent hydrographic surveys attempted to locate the wreck using Decca positioning in 1982. However, a 2005 survey by Gardline officially disproved and not located the wreck, leading to it being amended as dead on UK Hydrographic Office charts.
