VISITED MAY'46, VESSEL HAS SETTLED FURTHER AT THE ENDS AND SEA DAMAGE AMIDSHIPS CONSIDERABLY MORE EXTENSIVE PARTICULARLY IN WAY OF ENGINE ROOM. POSN 533210N, 031132W, HEIGHT ABOVE LBD UNKNOWN. PASSAGE MELLILI, ITALY FOR WORKINGTON. BADLY DAMAGED IN COLLISION WITH HMCS ORKNEY WHILST IN CONVOY. LATER BEACHED. SALVAGE CONSIDERED IMPOSSIBLE, & VESSEL WRITTEN OFF.
