Modern multibeam sonar surveys conducted on March 14, 2010, located the obstruction at coordinates 50 8.877 N, 05 45.812 W, revealing a least multibeam depth of 47.40 meters in a general depth of 49.5 meters, featuring a 0.25-meter-deep scour, a length of 15.0 meters, a width of 4.0 meters, and a height of 2.4 meters, lying on a seabed of megaripples oriented at 127/307 degrees. Modern assessment identifies the site as possible wreck debris and a probable rock outcrop feature, amended on charts as a 47-meter wreck.
