BUILT IN 1974 BY BRODOGRADILISTE 'ULJANIK' PULA. REGISTERED IN LIBERIA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY GENERAL ORE INTERNATIONAL CORP, SKIPS A/S BERGEHUS, A/S SIGMALM, SKIBS A/S SNEFONN & SIG. BERGESEN D.Y. & CO. PASSAGE BRAZIL FOR JAPAN. CONTACT WAS LOST WITH THE VESSEL IN NOVEMBER. BELIEVED TO HAVE SUNK AFTER A MASSIVE EXPLOSION (LIKE HER SISTER SHIP BERGE ISTRA), WRECKAGE WAS FOUND 45 MILES E OF HER LAST REPORTED POSITION. 40 CREW WERE LOST. (MSD & WRECKSITE.EU)
