UK Hydrographic Office wreck survey details for the shipwreck Ben Heilem located off the coast of Scotland. Wreck position coordinates are 57 58.877 N, 7 6.059 W in approximately 10 fathoms of water. The vessel was originally reported in 1978 with its masthead showing at low water. Subsequent diver examinations confirmed the ship is lying on its starboard side on a rocky seabed and is damaged due to pounding. The Receiver of Wrecks in Stornoway decided the vessel would be left in its present position. Updated positioning was later recorded in 2009 at the current coordinates.
