EXTENSIVE DAMAGE EXISTS IN THE AREA OF THE FWD HOLD AND THE BOWS OF THE VESSEL ARE TURNED AWAY 090DEGS. INITIAL RECOVERIES INCLUDED PIECES OF SHELL PLATING, DECK BEAMS, KEDGE ANCHOR AND CABLE FROM THE CHAIN LOCKER. LATER A SECTION OF NO.2 HOLD WAS REMOVED AND SOME QUANTITIES OF COAL OBTAINED.
