Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck ANTARES is a historical maritime obstruction located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Western Sahara near the coordinates 24 55 N, 15 05 W. This underwater wreck was originally recorded in 1967 under report H1061/67. Following a maritime review and the publication of Spanish chart 52B in December 1980, the ANTARES was investigated and officially deleted from hydrographic records on September 3, 1981, as the site is now designated as dead or cleared. Historical documentation provided by Thomas Cooper & Co and Lloyds originally noted the wreck's position in this region of the Atlantic before it was removed from current navigational charts.
