Historical survey records show the wreck was originally reported following a sinking in 1918 and initially cleared to 50 feet. Later examinations in 1931 swept the site clear to 54 feet with a foul depth at 55 feet in a general depth of 75 feet. A 1994 survey failed to locate the obstruction, disproving it as a wreck and considering it a natural sandwave feature, though subsequent high-resolution multibeam surveys on December 14, 2016, successfully examined the site at the revised position of 52 7.890 N, 01 45.487 E. The latest hydrographic data records the least multibeam depth at 20.84 meters (amended to a dangerous depth of 20.8 meters) within a general depth of 21 meters. The structural dimensions of the remains are 20 meters in length, 4 meters in width, and 0.4 meters in height, with an orientation of 124/304 degrees, noting that the wreck is now almost entirely buried in the seabed.
