Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck ALERTE is a historically recorded underwater obstruction located in the Mediterranean Sea near the coast of Marseille, France, at coordinates 43 06.793 N, 05 53.682 E. Originally identified in historical maritime surveys as a dangerous wreck, the site was previously charted with a structural orientation lying northwest to southeast at a general depth of 8 meters. Following comprehensive resurveying efforts of the area between 1985 and 1988, the wreck ALERTE was officially amended to dead status in maritime records and subsequently removed from nautical charts. This location currently represents a cleared or resolved underwater site rather than an active navigational hazard.
